Taya is exuberant doing all kinds of things, including "helping" Mommy put away clothes.
We had a wonderful couple of weeks with Nanna.
In May we had the good fortune to be hosted by our beloved cousins Yee Chiew and Morgan (YC is KC's first cousin) and their daughter Yi.

A rare white-sand beach was a delight. (Any beach would have been and many were!
It took Taya some time to warm up to the sand, water, and waves.
But she has fun with us wherever she goes.

By her second beach, Taya needed no encouragement to enjoy the sand (this video proves it; click on the pic to view).
We figured she'd put the sand in her mouth, but we figured it'd happen just once. How wrong we were! She loved it!
In this video, Taya's friend Mr. Carrot makes great incentive for soldier-crawling (Yi was a fantastic role model for this), or bunny-hopping!

Taya can become absolutely entranced in her tasks. Here it takes several efforts and an emphatic "Cock-a-doodle-doo" to get Taya's attention.
Taya would nap on us in all kinds of places.
Kilauea Iki--an amazing hike.
South Point was windswept, raw, and surprisingly beautiful.
Hats were a necessity down there (Southernmost point in the US), but we still all got burned.
Taya makes crazy faces (where'd she get that from?).

The geckos (not native, unfortunately) were mesmerizing.
Mommy taught Taya to do mm-mm-mm by rolling her bottom lip; here Taya tries it on Daddy.
Back at home, Mommy makes Taya go wild.
